1. What Spotlight does

Spotlight is an optional paid promotion for an eligible active listing. A Spotlight placement is labelled and remains subject to relevance, taste, safety and inventory controls.

Buying Spotlight does not guarantee impressions, clicks, messages or a sale. Organic and promoted distribution can change as inventory and user interests change.

2. Available models

The available offer is shown before confirmation. Current models can include £1.99 for 3 days, £3.99 for 7 days, or £0 upfront with a 12% fee on the final item price of an attributed completed sale.

Only one active Spotlight campaign may run for a listing. A fixed-duration campaign starts when provider payment and activation succeed. A pay-on-sale campaign uses the duration and attribution terms shown before confirmation.

3. Pay-on-sale attribution

An attributed sale requires a genuine Spotlight open or click. Impressions alone do not create attribution. The current attribution window is 7 days.

Self-activity, linked-account activity, repeated click spam and buyer intent that already existed before the Spotlight interaction are excluded. One sold item can incur at most one Spotlight success fee.

Cancelling a campaign does not erase an already valid attribution window.

4. Ending a campaign and refunds

A fixed-duration campaign cannot be paused. A seller can end it early, but unused time is not normally refunded if the seller cancels, hides or deletes the listing, violates a policy, or completes the sale.

If Valdeni removes a campaign incorrectly and the decision is overturned, the unused time can be restored or refunded as appropriate. Duplicate charges, provider errors and statutory rights are handled separately.

A campaign can be refused or ended where the listing is unavailable, restricted, unsafe, ineligible or missing required policy acceptance.
